Complaints Handling Policy
St Minver Highlands Parish Council recognises that from time to time there will be concerns expressed by members of the public over the activities of the council or one of its members or employees. To address these issues the Council has adopted a procedure for the handling of complaints.
Grants Policy
The Council recognises the importance of supporting groups, organisations and charities that benefit the local community, and that making grants is a valuable method of support. The purpose of this document is to ensure that St Minver Highlands Parish Council has an open, consistent and easily understood approach to awarding grants.
Broadcasting / Social Media
Policy for broadcasting or using Social Media at Council meetings.
The right to record, film and to broadcast meetings of the Council, Committees and Sub Committees is established following the Local Government Audit and Accountability Act 2014.
Internal Control Policy
St Minver Parish Council is responsible for ensuring that there is an adequate and effective system of internal audit of its accounting records, and of its system of internal control in accordance with proper practices. The system of internal control is designed to ensure that the council’s activities are carried out properly and as intended.
Code Of Conduct Policy
This Code of Conduct has been adopted by St Minver Highlands Parish Council to support its duty to promote and maintain high standards of conduct by Members of the Council as required by the Localism Act 2011.
Standing Orders 2022
Standing Orders is an important document as it contains rules for debate at meetings, conduct, voting and roles of the Proper Officer//RFO.
Risk Assessment
Risk assessment is a systematic general examination of working conditions, workplace activities and environmental factors that will enable the Parish Council to identify any and all potential inherent risks. The Parish Council, based on a recorded assessment, will take all practical and necessary steps to reduce or eliminate the risks, insofar as is practically possible.
